Probably about right for Barabanov if they sell him. I could see two 2nds with how low his cap hit is and the production he gives. 20 points in 32 games is good for $1 mil.

Having a breakout year and until the sharks are clearly out of the race (they are near 2nd in the division) Barabanov will remain a shark. Problem is Caps have more depth than SJ and Barabanov will likely see bottom six time with the caps which is a waste. He needs top six minutes to be truly effective. On the 4th line like you have it is a complete waste. Leafs also didn't trust him with top minutes and he wasn't remotely effective with them. In SJ he plays with an elite center in Hertl and is very effective.
