I know quite a few dallas fans like hakanpaa's game and all, but I think Dallas is at a point where they don't really need him. They're quite mediocre at the moment and get back a younger player in Dermott who's still gonna be a rfa when his contract expires, as well as a 3rd rounder. Cap is the same for both so no money added or removed. I'd like to know the opinion of stars fans for if this is fair or how much more would need to be added, as I'm not to sure of his value.

Hakanpaa is the type of player the Leafs need in a 3rd pairing role during the playoffs. Rolling the 3rd pairing of sandin-liljegren concerns me as they've played great so far in that role but are very inexperienced. I'd be much more comfortable with a sandin-hakanpaa pairing with lily as the 7th or rotating dman.

This is a trade idea that's been really active the past month with a lot of different views. Both fanbases have made some trades, some being fair while others being really bad. This is the trade I see being fair. The main piece in this is Robertson, who would become their top lw prospect or at the very least challenge Foote for that top spot. Robertson is also a scoring forward which is something the Devils have struggled with. While he's not an instant solution, long term he can be. Along with him comes Villeneuve, who's a 19 rd prospect with the potential to be a good nhl player. The 1st rounder allows for devils to add another prospect to their great pool. As for Holl, I know some people really don't want him, but I think it makes sense as devils get a short-term replacement. Also holl has shown previously that he can be a reliable top 4 d-man and I don't think that he's showing what he's capable of this season. If you don't like it just ignore that.

Severson is what the leafs need as their last piece in the top 4. Holl has shown that he really can't handle that role this season. Severson is a good dman who's reliable both offensively and defensively and I can see having good chemistry with muzzin. He also has term so Leafs don't give all this up for a rental.

A depth d-man for the leafs who is a vet and has playoff experience.
