After Winning The Cup

Created by: Agent_Of_R9

Description
Now you might ask why would a Stanley Cup winning team chose to sell? Well, I don't know, but it will probably be difficult to keep everyone the next season cuz they will all demand raises, so you may as well trade some while their values are high and hope to get back some elite players who can be further developed.

My my i did misread that. You think at his best zucker is better than hall? What planet is this on?

Well in Zucker’s prime he had 33 goals with Coyle, so that’s probably more impressive than what Hall achieved.

But they don’t get better at all with what’s going to them. Mcginn is a bottom 6er, matheson is a 3rd pairing dman

I think McGinn fits the mold of forwards TOR wants and Matheson played top 4 last season & did excellent. He’s been excellent again this season.

They had Heinen and traded him for Ritchie. The deal makes no sense for Boston. They're giving up a dollar for a pair of nickels

That’s fair. I feel two 50 point pace guys for one 70 point guy is more than fair though?

nowhere near halfway close to marner there, awful trade

Tbh TOR is getting a top 4 defenceman with term which they need, plus so much extra valuable pieces. I think given the situation with Marner, it’s fair?

    Rangers can keep Laf lol

I think Kapanen for Laf would be fair, both struggling players who don’t really fit their coach’s plans. But Rodrigues is a dealbreaker for sure.

In 2017? Since you love acronyms, GTFO. Since then Taylor Hall has a 39 goal, 93 point season, winning this little award called the hart trophy…heard of it?

This is the stupidest pile of drivel I have ever read. I refuse to believe that somewhat with the capacity to learn english and operate a keyboard can be this dumb. You just have to be a troll. Good for you, you had us going for a while.

I'm not sure that Kap is the right fit for the pens, but he's still on pace for almost 50 points. Laf looks lost in the NHL.

I wouldn't say he looks lost, he's been fine keeping up with the play and going to the right areas to facilitate, his main issue is being able to create space for himself and executing his decision when he has the puck. Those who watched him in junior understood that he was not a talented finesse type player who could stickhandle past opponents or burn them with speed. Most of his 5v5 production came off hard work by battling the corners and crashing the net. The thing is the transition to become a scorer in the NHL is always harder for these types of players cuz they don't have the natural talent.

Yeah but most of Hall's points came on the powerplay that season, IIRC. Zucker was one of the top 5v5 players in the league from 2017-19.

Who are these two 50 point pace guys you're offering up?

    Zucker: 13pt/31gp = 0.42 P/GP which is a 34pt pace for 82 games
    Heinen: 18pt/37gp = 0.49 P/GP which is a 40pt pace for 82 games

Heinen has never cracked 50pts in his career and Zucker did it once like 5 years ago.

Heinen and Zucker were both on pace for 50 in 2017/18, so I think they’d hit it again if used properly.

LMAO 4yrs ago they were on pace and that's what your using for a measuring stick. FFS I need to walk away lol these are the trolliest comments I've ever seen on here.

Btw Hall that same year played at a 100pt pace, so does that means he's a 100pt player?

The thing is Hall has played with top-tier players his whole career like RNH, Hischier & Pastrnak so it’s fair to analyze his whole career. The guys I’m offering have bounced around the lineup so it’s only fair to use their best seasons.

LOL wow you love moving goal post around to try and make your argument fit what you want. Hall has actually played more time away from Pastrnak than he has with him, so lets toss that out the window.

You know that in Boston Heinen played with Krejci? Hell he even played with Bergeron and Marchand at one point? How about the fact that Zucker over the last 3 years has Malkin as one of his top 5 most common linemates? A LOT of people have told you the trade is bad, yet you keep trying to justify it by saying 4 years ago they were on pace for 50 points, but for some reason we can't use the same season for Hall?

There is a common theme in all your ACGM's and that's that you overvalue all your own players on your favorite teams.

I'm not sure which makes me shake my head more, the fact that you can't put a valid argument together to justify your proposal or that I've wasted as much time as I have on you. Luckily I can solve the latter and just add you to the ignore list and let someone else waste their time with you.

    cheers

Thanks for the insight. I admit, I was uninformed and incorrect while you were right. It’s just, a lot of people on Twitter believe Zucker for Hall would be a good trade cuz Zucker played with Coyle, so I went with it.
