IF the Leafs were to deal their 1st this year, it would be in a bigger deal for a better player

I don't think there is any void on that team that could be more effectively filled than Chiarot shoring up their blueline

There are MUCH better options out there that can be had for a similar price. Why would we over pay for someone like Chairot? I can see them taking a look at Seattle with that 1st actually (maybe Dunn or Olyksiak).

Oleksiak would be a decent add, but Dunn would be absolutely redundant for the Avs
