This is pretty good, but swap out one of the Philly prospects for someone a little better and I think it's a done deal. Philly is really replenishing their system with this move so they can afford to give just a little back.

Yeah probably, I just don't know which prospect to add though. Maybe Laczynski? Or Wisdom?

Stop with the RASK already........NO one in Philly wants him and Flyers are not adding any prospects just declining.

Cap hits dude, cap hits. Giroux's $8M wouldn't fit under the cap unless Rask goes the other way. It's common sense. Use it. Both are gone after this seasons done. You don't have to like him, but he won't be on your roster next year anyway and your seasons already toast.

Furthermore, Högberg and Millman are nothing prospects who have zero chance at the NHL. Meanwhile, Beckman is now considered a top 50 prospect and is better than anyone not named either Frost or York in the Flyers system and Peart has 2nd pairing potential. Philly's prospect pool is getting massively upgraded here, losing two nothing prospects means jack squat.

This is exactly the type of deal Fletcher should be making at the TDL. Selling off pieces like Giroux, taking on bad contracts, and accumulating picks and prospects.

Given that Beckman is going Philly's way, who is now considered a top 50 prospect, I wonder if a swap of Beckman and Forester would work?

Beckman is the clearly better prospect but is a LW which we have an overabundance of. Forester is a pretty good prospect as well, not as good as Beckman... but close. Forester is also a rhs RW, which the Wild could really use. It would also mean Minnesota is getting more out of this than just three months of Giroux.

On the flipside, Flyers are getting the better prospects and that 1st is going to allow them to replace Forester. And given how deep this upcoming draft is, likely a better prospect too. Obviously, if Beckman and Forester swap, drop the second Flyers prospect altogether.

I think that would definitely work for both teams
