Vancouver declines the Horvat Miller deals, not because they should keep them, but because the deals horrible, especially the Miller one.

I can understand the train of thought that Fiala isn't what the Canucks should be looking for, but to call that offer "garbage" is ludicrous. Fiala is a very good top 6 player with the ability to be a dynamic game-changer at times. Vancouver fans should know that more than any other fanbase with Fiala's performance in the playoff bubble. O'Rourke isn't a top-tier prospect, but I think his potential is at least a bottom pairing guy with a slight possibility of becoming a top 4 player. He made Canada's WJC roster...

If we acquire Miller I think the idea would be to pair him with Boldy and Fiala, so moving Fiala here may not make the most sense for us in the short-term, but obviously with our cap situation we may have to trade Fiala (at least in the offseason) to fit Miller in next year.

Schenn + Motte for Dermott? I'd do that

I would make that trade for LA. Just guarantee me 27 goals from Brock Boeser next season.
