Do you not know what a roster freeze is? Or what literally every team is doing?

Right, there will come a time (September or October) when every team has to be cap compliant, but we are in the middle of an expansion draft and as per the rules, every team must display all contracts, rangersandislesfan do you understand what I am saying?

Guys I feel bad for the Chicago GM, who when he opens his team page will have to read rangers arguments with every other person right here. If rangers doesn't know by now what a roster freeze is, then there's nothing further you can do. Just leave him alone

Guys I feel bad for the Chicago GM, who when he opens his team page will have to read rangers arguments with every other person right here. If rangers doesn't know by now what a roster freeze is, then there's nothing further you can do. Just leave him alone

Thank you, I was in the middle of posting to let people know to stop using this thread to argue, but it looks like you beat me to it.

It actually was very funny to open my page and see this argument on it haha. Mostly because this is the second time Rangers has posted that about my cap haha.

well we can play without a salary cap if you want but i know that if we did that you would want a salary cap.[/quote]

And Rangers as I mentioned before, I am only over the cap because I have all my prospects on the team so everyone can see my depth. We do not want to play without a cap but in the NHL the cap is suspended during the playoffs and offseason. Every team only needs to be cap compliant before the regular season starts.

                            Hi thornton,

If you do not submit an expansion list by noon tomorrow that includes both exposed and protected players, the board of GMs will make the list for you. Do not worry, we will not try and screw your roster over. It will be a fair and unbiased process and we will try and base it off the list left in your description. If you have questions about your expansion list and whether it is compliant or not, please ask on the expansion thread BEFORE posting it to the new expansion draft list thread. If you have not done so yet, read through all rules regarding expansion at the top of the new thread.

                            Thanks!

You don't have any similar players with his upside or entry-level deal so it would have to be Schmaltz in a package for Jones, or Backstrom (with salary retained). Feel free to make an offer but I can't do a deal for 2 or 3 bottom 6 guys.

Backstrom isn't going anywhere unless you're giving Panarin. As far as Jones goes, you'd have to give me Hjalmarsson, Schmaltz and more.

But I do like Panarin. I'll start with Bjugstad and a 2018 1st round pick. If you're interested, let me know

No cap space for Ladd. Would need a huge incentive to take his money.

Okay. If you are going to get back to me, can I ask that it is relatively soon? I'm close to a Bjugstad deal, so I don't really want to keep the other party waiting. I'll submit an official proposal for you to look at, and then I'd love for you to get back to me by tomorrow.

Feel free to go ahead with a Bjugstad deal. He wouldn't be in a deal for Panarin. I can't afford to give him a redemption year for 4 mill.

I would need someone to replace a top 15 scorer in the league. But I could do Jones for Panarin straight up.
