Description
These are the two pieces that is a dream scenario for the upcoming deadline. Bs bring in a 2nd line center whose playstyle fits extremely well between Hall and Pasta. And you bring in that top pairing LD that we have needed for years. I know this shows the team over the cap, but I believe where all money would be prorated at time of trade, it should all fit for this season.

I'm not sure what Giroux would command for a package considering he holds all the cards on where he goes, and his deal is up at the end of the year. Studnicka is an NHL ready center, whether it's top 6 or 9 is yet to be fully determined, but I think on a team where he can play every night and get going he'll be valuable. Moore goes with him to help with the cap relief for Bruins. I think the pair of 2nds is a good value to add on to Stud as well as alleviate Flyers taking Moore. If one of them needs to be a 1st I'd do that too, Bs should be all in for a run this year.

Chychrun deal relies on how Arizona views Debrusk. Do they get the 2022 Debrusk who looks like the 2015 draft pick? Or do they get the 2018-2020 Debrusk who couldn't find his game? If they view him somewhat highly, I think adding Vaak, Lysell and a 1st get the deal done. I know people don't want to trade Lysell (for good reasons), but outside of Swayman and Lohrei, there is no one in the system that I think the Bs shouldn't trade to try and win a cup this year. Chychrun is younger than McAvoy and is a stud LD that the Bruins could hold onto for the next 10 years.

So here it is, me mortgaging the future for one last real shot at a cup.

Capfriendly accounts for proration. Over the cap, move zboril to LTIR and you’re close.

Oh I didn't think Capfriendly did account for it in the past. So yeah, Zboril to LTIR and maybe another person sent the other way in the trade and it'd work out.

Personally I’d put sweeny’s 2021 disgrace, I mean foligno down to the 4th, keep coyle at 3C with haula and steen on the sides if this was to happen.

But do you really see that being enough to win a cup? 2 very dangerous lines, one third line that got great puck possession skills and 4th line grinder? Possible

But the d is where it gets little sketchy, top pair , idk if there’s a better defense in the league to be honest, but after that defense becomes a liability, probably better off to honestly swap Grez and chychrun, let run and Mac shifts overlap here and there to get ice time where it needs to be for both, but then that third pair is kinda sketchy, would really like to see one of forbort or Reilly moved for decent cheap 3 RD rental

I think Foligno could ply anywhere on that bottom 6 depending on chemistry. He definitely hasn't been the player I thought the Bs were getting but think his value is still there for either line. I debated on Chychrun being with McAvoy or Carlo, but ultimately went top pair. Gryz and Carlo have proven that they work very well together so I wouldn't hesitate to keep them together.

Overall I think this team would compete strongly for the cup. Our last few playoffs have been one dangerous line that can score, one possession heavy line with some offense (Krecji) and then 2 energy/grinder lines. This team immediately goes in with a top 6 that is filled with scoring playmakers which the Bs desperately needed the last few years. Once team shut down March-Bergy-Pasta the team grinded to a halt. Giroux centering Hall and Pasta means teams have to very much worry about more than just one line.

I agree definitely could be a good chance at a cup, forward production wise I think they would hold their own with just about any other team, but I would definitely have to see and do a little experimenting with the defense, see how Grez and Carlo do, Carlo just seems so soft sometimes and Grez is just so small, they are both great players and I’m not trying to bash on them but yes they have quiet of bit of playing time together so should be natural for them to pair up again consistent without issue.

But still dont like the third pair, and honestly don’t think cliffy is the answer with forbort or Reilly on the LD. I honestly don’t have a potential target to throw out there without doing some looking but can’t imagine the cost being overly exspensive for bottom pair reliable RD

A guy I was thinking of is Hakanpaa at Dallas. He's a big man (6'6", 220) who hits a whole lot. Him and Forbert could be a nice 3rd pair to just beat up opponents, but that means losing out on Reilly's puck moving ability. With the mock here, I felt the 3rd pair gave the same sort of dual zone abilities as Carlo and Gryz. One guy is offensively gifted and the other is a big defense-first guy. But Hakanpaa just signed with Dallas this offseason so I don't know if there's any willingness to trade.

Ya I just think a natural RD would be better then two LD, ideally I would agree and we would move forbort instead but unlikely and gunna have to pay to do that
