You lost your Best Players in Carey Price, your beat defenceman and 2 of your top 3 center. You haven’t had Edmundson on defense then you had to use 38 different players at some point, even had some Echl players in the roster for a couple of game. These are extreme condition for any team. Plus Bergevin made some really horrible moved this off-season. That a recipe for a total wreck and that exactly what have happen. Do players have suck in a big way, absolutely but that doesn’t mean they are absolutely waste bag. And its everyone fault and no one fault. I mean at some pount Chiarot played with Corey Shuneman. Chiarot alone shouldn’t have had to play all those minutes against top opposition bit he had no choice since Weber and Edmundson weren’t there. Players have to take responsibility for their atrocious play but management need to take a huge par of the blame. They have let Danault walk and gave is money to Hoffman. They should have sign KK to a contract before he could sign offersheet. They should have pursue a right handed defenseman that can skate. Those where all extremely costly mistake made by bergevin who was looking completely burn out. All those thibg are all factor that contributed on this debacle. I understand that a lot of traded proposal are extremely unrealistic but you don’t reach the stanley cup final and suddenly all your players are all piece of trash worthless ****. Habs haven’t played a single game this year with all their roster. Those thing have a affect.

The paradox, Bergevin was a god until he wasn't. Edmunson is the hero that makes the Habs defence great until he comes back and also sucks then it will be his fault and not his fault. KK was a disappointing 3rd liner but a future star and the teams future god but didn't deserve any money because he hadn't shown enough apart from showing enough and nothing at the same time. Thanks for coming in and just reinforcing the statement for me.

The Paradox!

Of course you won’t since you don’t have a ****ing clue about what metrics are for. I guess if Jake Muzzin could be that bad in metrics and still get a haul of a return there some team that will be attract in Chariot si ce they are horrible

Muzzin hasn't ever been bad from an advance stats point of view. When he was traded for, he had the best metrics on his team which was bad. He had much better numbers than Doughty who had extremely better numbers when he played with Muzzin and poor numbers without him. But you've already made it very clear that you really don't have anything to backup your words. You just say metrics and think that means you have info.

And he keep coming with is number without understanding them. Is that hard to understand that it’s impossible to have positive metrics if you start in your own zone 65 % of the time. And it’s even more the case if your team are bad in faceoff circle. You try to justify that Muzzin have bad number buy telling he was hurt and got concussion when it have absolutely nothing to do with it. Is number have drop because its really hard to generate scoring chance when you start 65% of the time 200 feet away from the other net. So keep pretending like you understand all about metrics when you can’t even understand the simple concept of dzone starts against ozone starts. And continue making excuses for Muzzin terrible metrics if it make you feel good about yourself. im done with you.

Muzzin has been getting the hard defensive zone starts his entire time in TO and even this year where he's not been as good as normal still grades out as positive. A good defenceman starts in the d zone and gets the puck back and up the ice. Chiarot doesn't get the puck back and gets scored on a bunch. He sucks

Since 2019 is meteic or awful grade 2 stuff. Get your fact right at least if you want to somehow pretend like you understand it. And now bye bye monsieur je sais tout sur tout mais je comprends meme pas comment analyser les analytics

Chiarot isn't above 46% in any advance metric, Muzzin is at 50% in everything apart from goal differential but his expected goal % is still above 50%. Chiarot's numbers are still much worse. All numbers available for free on natural statrick.

You might qant to take a look at that to since you are probably the brother of the other know it all. Simce you don’t take into account any other factor that came into play when. Metric are just number and you need a brain to analyses them.

I am very aware of how metrics work. Muzzin gets a tonne of defensive starts. He still is above 50% in everything this year except for shot share. Corsi, Fenwick, Scoring chances, expected goal percentage etc etc. Muzzin is still positive apart from shots against but those shots haven't been that dangerous. Using brain power, that means Muzzin turns the puck in the right direction despite having tough assignments.

The fact the he play for i high powered offense does not have any affect at all on is stats. Yeah brain power.you know a lot about metrics. tears of joy

You are accountable for the 5 players that are on the ice and all the the variable aren’t everytime under control. Muzzin on a habs roster this year would have terrible number not because he is a bad defenseman but because Montreal can generate any scoring chance of the rush get destroyed in shot against shoat attenps against and scoring chance each night. You don’t need to be a genius to understand that if you are outplayed each night you metric will suck.

And here we go back to nonsense justification so you can prove your point that doesn't really exist. Muzzin is better, there isn't a single person in the world outside of Habs fans who don't see it this way. There is nothing but evidence to support it and what we have here is some Hab fan saying metrics a bunch without offering any metrics and arguing to contrary while living in the paradox that everything wrong with the team is no ones fault and everyone's fault at the same time. Petry doesn't suck because it's his linemates and he gets all the hard matchups and it's the goalies fault but Chiarot doesn't suck either because it's his linemates and goalies fault but the goalie isn't to blame because the defence and forwards fail but the forwards and defence aren't to blame either. And on top of all that "METRICS!". Yup, no one is going to be able to follow this nonsense

That is definitely easy to understand. What's impossible to understand, is how is this the reality in Montreal but it's no one fault and at the same time everyone's fault. If Chiarot can't do anything to make the team better then it's pretty clear he isn't a difference maker. Muzzin was on a bad LA team and still had great numbers being a shutdown defenceman on a bad team. Seth Jones has decent numbers despite being on a terrible defensive team. Chabot has very good numbers and his team sucks. Chiarot has horrible numbers and his team is terrible. Yet somehow he's amazing as are the rest of his teammates who are not to blame for results because it's the fault of their teammates who are still not to blame......or something equally as confusing.

Look sir, you have been beaten to a pulp here. Just call it a day.

Not so sure about your rampage about Muzzin, but i never sais once actually that Chiaror was better then Muzzin.
I don’t know where it dis start in your head but you should take a tylenol and chill out. And you dont offer any metrics at all and you complain about other people who doesn’t offer you a proof. You don’t even tale into consideration all the factor that would need to be taken with those numbers like. You need to adrsses it in multiple way. You are probably not familiar with analytic but there team of people that work to analyses them. If there 5 guy on the ice you are dependable on each other. You don’t take any of that into consideration. If you have a guy that won 70% of is defensive smzone faceoff the 5 guys that play with him will benefit from it in their number since thay will be allowing less scoring opportunities. On the other side if you are always chasing the puck because you can’t win a faceoff the 5 players will also be accountable but four of them had nothing to do about losing the face off. Those are the kind of thing that impact the metrics and that you don’t take into consideration.

Seth Jones and Thomas Chabot are very great comparable for Chairot. To offensive minded defenseman who play with the top offensive players and that both start 60% of their shift in the offensive zone. Yeah great comparable.

Now you will probably tell me that Chris Wideman is the best Montreal defenseman tears of joy because is metrics number suggest that.

And who is taking is minutes? Who is taking all the assessments in defensive zone? Who is playing minutes he should be playing. Yeah probably forgot to take all that into consideration. But again i am not surpirsed since the starts you choose to use just what you need to justify yourself to make the players you want look good.

Okay I'll spell this out one more time. Chiarot gets the hard minutes, sure. No one is contradicting that. However, he's getting destroyed in those minutes. Muzzin takes on hard minutes as well and is coming out a head. Good defenceman take on hard matchups and win. Chiarot takes them on and gets obliterated. Chiarot sucks
