Minnesota pass. They aren't taking on Jake d , not only a Winger, but his contract. Nick foligno doesn't want to come to Minnesota, and Minnesota has no room

Dmitry kulikov has been a really good cheap 3rd pairing and freddy is cheap

Pretty sure Minny would take that package - as they get the 1st rounder and a top 6 forward - no offense to Freddy he is a dime a dozen player at 28 years old and averaging 7 pts a season. Kulikov's likely past his best days and if the Bruins wanted him they would have paid the 4th round pick to get him last year.

Minnesota is stacked with Wingers,,no disrespect but Minnesota wouldn't.

Kaprizov, Zuccarello
Fiala, matt boldy
Foligno, greenway
Connor dewar, Brandon duhaime

No, Dmitry kulikov has been damn good. Freddy is a C, not a Winger. Besides the 1st, Minnesota wouldn't because jake would be sitting in the luxury suite and not playing not to mention, Minnesota doesn't have the cap

I am sure Kulikov has been good for Minny, but again doesn't negate the fact if the Bruins wanted him they would have parted with the 4th rounder to him vs a trade like this. I never said Freddy was a winger, I just said he is a dime a dozen player no matter the position - he could be replaced in a heartbeat without noticing he was gone.

Minny has the cap space, just depends on who they are resigning and for how much etc - do they keep Goligoski or let him walk and how much of a raise does Fiala want. That being said if all was even and you are a GM, Minny is giving up nothing to get a 1st rounder and DeBrusk.

You do realize Minnesota only has 12 mil to resign 5 to 7 players and keep the roster together right? We also have suter and Parise cap hold ? Just take out Debrusk. What you don't understand, Minnesota had to put Rask on waivers to gain a little bit of capspace. Debrusk isn't a cap dump Minnesota can't take on. Yes the 1st round pick is a big deal,,but for these season Minnesota has zero interest in another Winger.

Why are we giving up a first? Just get rid of the picks. Or just don't do it at all, that's a choice.

Thats fair with the cap space for sure - I guess I assumed Minny wouldn't take on Rask again given his cap hit to value etc. So the cap is what holds this back more than anything else, because if Minny had cap, this is a deal they say yes to all day long.
