      Is it really?

      As I see it,

      a 25% chance at Shane Wright and 100% top 3 pick

      Laffy = Caufield

      Lehkonen (worth a first) + a 25% chance at Shane Wright and 100% top 3 pick = Schneider (behind Fox and Trouba [NMC])

      That’s the thing, in no realistic manner is Lehkonen worth a 1st. Idk why fans seems to think he will have such a rich return.

      Since when is Lehkonen worth a first? Sure he’s ok defensively, but he’s only ever hit 30 points once in his career.

      You are right Lehkonen is not worth a 1st, his value is more like 2 2nds (not a huge gap between a late 1st and 2 2nds though) but you are getting most of the value from the 2022 1st since it will be top 3 and possibly even 1st OVA. So the value ends up being Cuafield for Lafreniere and Schnider for Lehkonen and a top 3 pick (or if you want to talk pick wise a 1st and 2 2nds) which is close in value IMO.

      Do you think Blake Coleman was worth a first^ - Its the market and the intangibles... the guys is all heart, a PK and forecheck specialist. (and a RFA - so you keep his rights).

      I could say the same thing about Nieto and Bonino, doesn’t make them automatically worth a 1st.

      Laffy as a higher value than Caufield... And NYR as too many young RW.
      The only real value I see it's If MTL wins the 1OA... than offer Shane Wright for Laffy one on one
      otherwise 2023 1st(top10 protected)+ Caufield for Laffy
