Were they complaining about the cap?

5 spots with $7.5 mil isn’t impossible to do. Gotta factor the $1 mil projected cap space increase.

Yeah saying they had 17 players and we're already over the cap.

Yeah they clearly aren’t in tuned with the team.

Thought they'd get Cernak for spare parts and a 2

If only ABB could grab a top 9 spot. Then the forward group would be set.

When will people realize he’s a great young top 4 rd man. Who can’t be had for pennies on the dollar.

I'd love to see it just think he's going to be a really good AHL goal scorer

Yeah it’s unfortunate cause he’s got 2 more years on a cheap deal so it’d be perfect. Maybe one of the young prospects can steal a spot next year. Then just gotta get someone for the 4th line.

thanks for this honestly. i was looking at the team profile that showed theyre already at 81.5 next year...must not have had Seabrook LTI yet. Thats surprising they have this much room lol

Let Katchouk and Raddysh have a full season they'll improve Joseph is solid if he ever finds the scoring touch he's deadly especially with that speed

Where they run into trouble is if they think they "absolutely have to keep Palat around"

Add Palat at 5mil (could get more open market) and the following season and the Cernelligachev extension gets problematic

Love the acronym for that one. But yes that summer will be a challenging one.

They have a glaring hole in the top 6 at LW, and no one to fill it. Hopefully Palat is willing to take in the ~4 range and stay, but if he's not, there are a.handful of solid targets they could go after(McCann, Crouse, Rakell, etc.). They could also trade Killorn for a very good return, re-sign Palat and then replace Killorn. Try to keep Joseph for 1 25ish,Maroon for 1 or a little more, tops, and Rutta for 1.5(or find another deoth vet RD between 900k and 1.4). One of Alnefelt or Miftakhov need to be ready, or Tampa will need to find yet another meh aging backup for 900k. It will be tight but Tampa should be able to get a solid 22 player roster.

They can keep all 3 rfas, but it will mean losing Killorn. If the 3 main rfas continue to play well, it will also depend on how much they try and ask for. Cernak and Cirelli should be prioritized 1st, and if possible, keep Serg. Serg hasn't shown he's worth some insane contract, so 6 is the most I'd give him(and even then it's iffy). They can also get a massive return for Serg, so that may be the way to go.

Personally moving Sergachev before Cirelli. I’d do everything to keep Cernak and Cirelli because along with Point and Vasy you still have a relatively young core as eventually Hedman, Stamkos, McDonagh, Kucherov, Killorn and Palat age.
