Disclaimer: THESE ARE NOT REAL TRADE PROPOSALS.

I know almost all of these players would not be on the trade block. The purpose of this ACGM is to gauge how people value these players. Teams that have multiple players listed, I ask that they are valued individually and not as a combined package.

If Carolina offers Jarvis and Morrow, every team on this list accepts. (They should at least)

"Morrow’s ability to generate offense from the back end and aggressively attack opponents with pinches has drawn some comparisons to Edmonton Oilers’ defenseman Tyson Barrie, who has nearly reached 60 points twice in his 10-year career. While it will take time for Morrow to get to that level, if the team that selects him is patient with his development, there’s a chance he could become another dynamic offensive defender with the ability to run a power play." - thehockeywriters.com

It's funny how Morrow has tons of value when his ceiling is Tyson Barrie, who is a cap dump to most people who comment on this site.

Ironic, huh?

Puljujarvi actually fits well with McDavid, he creates chaos and McDavid feeds off chaos. Look at their scoring rates when together...

I'm SUPER torn on your trade proposal. Jarvis was my hard target for the draft from early on, I really like the player. But when Puljujarvi figures out how to use his body, he's gonna be a BEAST out there, especially in the playoffs. I'm not sure Morrow tips the scales enough for me, but it's close.

I can already tell you that neither of those players are for trade. Especially Morrow, as he is on a better development rate than Cale Makar, and everyone knows how good he is. I will say, the Canes were probably the smartest in the 2021 draft, but that’s a discussion for another time.

So one comparison to Barrie and that is his ceiling?

Barrie is a dump because the Oilers need defense and the ever so wise GM went the complete opposite way. That in no way affects Morrow’s vale, even if his ceiling was only Barrie.

Available trade pieces from the Canes would include:

From the Roster:
Lorentz, Bear, Stepan, Raanta
Prospects:
Bokk, Suzuki, Cotton, Rees, Tieksola, Ponomarev, Mattheos, Murray, Keane, Lajoie
Reserve List:
Blake, Fensore, Guslistov, Hamrla, Killinen, Korshkov, Kucharski, Mercuri, Montgomery, Naumov, Orr, Pashin, Quapp, Rizzo, Robidas, Slepets, Wall, Webber, Wells
Draft Capital:
2022 4th-7th round picks
2023 1st-7th round picks
2024 1st-7th round picks
---------------------
Untouchables:
Roster Players:
Aho, Svechnikov, Kotkaniemi, Staal, Teravainen, Niederreiter, Trocheck, Fast, Martinook, Jarvis, Necas, Slavin, Skjei, Pesce, Cole, DeAngelo, Smith, Andersen, Lyon
Prospects:
Drury, Koivunen, Heimosalmi, Seeley, Sellgren, Chatfield, Lafontaine, Makiniemi, Kochetkov
Reserve List:
Gunler, Honka, Hreschuk, Morrow, Nybeck, Nystrom, Puistola
Draft Capital:
2022 2nd-3rd round picks

Hope this helps with determining value

I really doubt Sellgren, Lafontaine, and that entire reserve list are on an untouchable list. Maybe we don’t want to trade more than one goalie from the prospect list and more than 2 from your untouchable reserves list and prospect list. No way all of them are untouchable.

Interesting response on an AGM that trades for a whole lot of players who aren't on the market.

"I know almost all of these players would not be on the trade block. The purpose of this ACGM is to gauge how people value these players."

Puljujarvi's value is: players you won't want to give up. He's not available otherwise.

Didn't have the guts to quote me, huh?

The list I made is my own personal list of who I personally wouldn’t trade, not what the Canes wouldn’t trade. The Canes and who they would trade is a whole other story. I was only trying to gauge value, not make actual proposals. I know that most of the list wouldn’t even be traded, but what’s the harm in finding out their value?

I am guessing that was written around the time he was drafted. Before Barrie took a step back and before Morrow took step forward at UMass-Amherst.

I see Jackson Blake is on available list. Tell me what Carolina needs, so I can make a mildly reasonable offer to steal him away.

Lolz. Guts and irony have nothing to do with it. One comparison doesn’t make it real or right. The irony isn’t there if the comparison is false.

The comparison came from a elementary school teacher for goodness sakes. How more illegitimate can this comparison be? Irony, no

Maybe we could go over to any other fan written blog and see their very legit comparisons so that we can claim irony when the compared player is also a cap dump? Cuz yay, irony.
