We all seem to have the same idea with Hague but if Vegas wants him they find a way to fit him.

I like it, and I could see Pavelski and Bergeron as UFAs having interest in a 2 year $6M each for 2 solid runs for the cup.

    Hague would fit in well.

Their cap situation is not exactly ideal.

Honestly that’s a very conservative offer I wouldn’t be against going up a bracket and giving up a first and third

it doesn't matter, they can sign and trade etc...

The offer around which you are working is standard for a 2nd pairing defenseman. Teams will have no problem trading for that.
You can bet he's probably already eyeing a 4 mil + deal. As most defense do who can play 2nd pair and above do.
It's not like he's a 3rd pairing guy and you are pushing the limit on value here.
    They match.

they can trade whoever they want. There is NMC here.
Furthermore, what makes you think they don't clear space in another way?

You are way to hell bent on thinking VGK can't make the cap work. They can.
defense is the most desired thing by every team at the start of a new year. It's the first thing run off the board in FA.
Don't think for one moment VGK can't make it work one way or another. 4 mil cap hits for 2nd pairing is nothing. You aren't offering nearly enough on the OS to make another team not sign it.
You'd probably have to be in the 6 mil range.
On top of it, if he is to stay in VGK, what you would have to offer would have to be more in any kind of match because VGK has tax advantage over BOS.
