If the Canucks take that deal, they will be praying that Montreal wins the draft lottery

I think the Canucks would take that deal and run personally, a potential top 5 pick for someone who is likely to be out and just taking on the remaining salary of the hot dog hero.

Everyone says no.

Dallas might say yes because of the 2nd, but I think they'd try and move Holtby out of the division.

That pick is top ten protected as far as I know, it'll stay in Montreal.

Edit:
*Conditions: The better of Montreal/Carolina's 2022 1st round pick BUT if either or both are top 10 picks then Montreal will instead transfer to Arizona the worse of Montreal/Carolina's 2022 1st round pick.

Carolina's pick is going to be a late 1st. That'll be the pick going to Arizona, not Montreal's.

I dont disagree, but I think its funny that any time you put a first in the conversation from the Wild's perspective, you get destroyed that hes not worth a first

Then a pass for Vancouver
