Yeah no. We aren't taking on Jonathan toews, and his contract. Much less we aren't trading dumba , a 1st round pick or nico sturm. We aren't taking on erik g either.

Dumba is replaceable, easily with Addison. Guerin is a business guy and there is a reason why he chose to extend Ek and Brodin over Dumba. Dumba is a good locker room guy but in my opinion, Guerin gave Dumba the A over Ek to boost dumbas trade value. It comes down to either dumba or fiala because you cant pay both next year (parise and suter buyout cap hit). Fiala Is making a better case to earn the contract then dumba is and we need the center over the defenseman.

First off, this is a massive over payment from the Wild...

secondly, this hurts the cap situation too much. This is a dumb deal for the wild. If they add it's likely cheaper methods.

Cap strapped team adding a 10 million dollar 2nd line center. This just can't happen, never mind what they're paying for him.
