Leafs decline, we'd give you a second instead of Robertson

I think they would at least consider it

I'm sure they would work out a deal but I just don't see them accepting that first offer. I think they'd rather a 3rd instead of a 2nd

A lot of teams are going to be in on Motte, might need to fork over a 2nd to be the deal breaker

In what world is Motte worth a 2? He wouldn't break the pens top 12 FWs, I thought the 2 was for Halak

Oh he absolutely would crack the lineup, he'd knock out like Dominik Simon or somebody. Motte is an exceptional bottom six forward much the same as guys like Teddy Blueger, Brock McGinn, and ZAR

Simon isn't in the top 12, only for injury, and he probably isnt knocking out ZAR, Blue or McGinn who are the 4th line

You can keep Halak. Gave up 5 goals last night in the 1st period..lol.

And Motte is a nice gritty player. But Pens have plenty of bottom 6 players in their organization that they would probably rather give that PT too; with Guentzel/Sid/Rust,
Heinen/Geno/Kappy, Zucker/J.Carter/E-Rod, ZAR/Blueger/McGinn.

They still have B.Boyle, D.Simon, D.OConnor, Zohorna, A.Angello. Let alone S.Poulin, N.Legare, A.Nylander, F.Hallander, V. Puustinen, K.Bjorkqvist, close to NHL ready.

If the Pens found a way to move on from Zucker or Kapanen, then I could see Motte being a much more attractive option for them

Motte could maybe move to the fourth to replace McGinn if that were to happen but if they moved on it'd only if they had a proper top 6 fw back

I think they'll be okay just moving Zucker and not worrying about getting more primary scoring

Trust me, we have 1 line and then Malkin on the PP with an occasional chip in from ERod or BJC they would want someone to help Malkin on 5v5

How about Crosby with Guentzel and ERod, and Malkin with Heinen and Kapanen
