Description
The vegas trade depends on Mark Stone. Apparently he could be put on LTIR. If that's the case then they don't need to pay a team to get rid of Dadonov.

Why would the Rangers do that? We can do so much better with a Nils trade.

Well that was what I was wondering, seems like it's not updated yet on this site.

It’s all speculation at this point, but I called it last night as soon as I saw he was out of the lineup. He’s been dealing with it all year

Harris is a pretty good prospect. Would like to keep him, but it looks like he won't sign. It might still not be enough, but pretty sure the value isnt that far.

Well I guess Vegas is going to take that opportunity to make sure that they won't have to lose anything at TDL then.

I mean if he won’t sign with MTL why don’t the rangers just wait until he’s a ufa lol

He wouldn’t sign with the rangers otherwise. He is a Bruins fan so he will most likely sign with them. There is no way the Bruins doesn’t want to sign I’m if possible. So, yeah the only solution would be trade and sign which I can see happening.

So why would the rangers trade for him if he’s going to sign with Boston?

Thats why Montreal would give them the opportunity to talk with him and if they agree on a contract the trade could be made.

an “opportunity to talk” before going ufa trade he doesn’t hold much value. Especially considering it’s THIS summer he’s a ufa. If you want Lundkvist it’ll cost an arm and a leg as he is a legitimate blue chip prospect that is signed. I think Keith yandle in his prime got a 4th rounder and that was a conditional pick to negotiate a deal before going UFA. So younger player but not as well known nhl production you’ll probably get a 2nd at best for him if teams know he won’t sign with MTL. Rangers gave up two 2nds for fox because they didn’t want to wait the additional year to sign him (he was a pending ufa the following summer not the one coming up)

I get your point, but I feel like he still hold some good value. Maybe I underestimate the value of Lundkvist.
