Description

Just my opinion, what's yours? Ignore RFA contracts, no thought put into them. Didn't bother with unsigned prospects & some mid tier signed prospects / AHL regulars as well.

LW: Untouchable: Everyone on a bad team is available, but these guys are as near to Untouchable as it gets in NJ (Luke would fall here, if signed)

C: Prefer to keep / give them another year (Gritsyuk would be here, if signed)

RW: Could / Should be moved in right deal : Many D here, but not lower due to lack of viable near term replacements (move a NHL quality D, NJ need to get another in return or elsewhere ... Salmenin would be here, if signed)

LD : Available

RD: Move on if you can / thank you for your service

GK: Keepers to keep, give another year (Looking to at you Blackwood)

IR: Keepers available

Move Sharangovich from C to LW
Move Severson from RW to C

Those would be my suggestions.

And with Hughes, Hischier ....trading Mercer has to remain an option. If a center-desperate team comes and writes a blank check, he could be our most valuable trade chip. I would hate to see him go...but if it returned a surefire #1 goalie or top-pair d-man...would be hard to pass.

I woudl move Siegenthaler to LW. For what he will cost, its a great piece to have and no reason to move. Everyone is available but if Luke is a LW without playing a minute, Jonas should be too. IMO

Siegs is definitely an untouchable, for what he costs and the level of consistent play he provides.

Saying that, I definitely don't want him to go, but there are extenuating circumstances that must be considered. I feel much the same about Wood, though his injury seriously clouds his value.
