i dont get all the hate for girard. as an avs fan myself i love him but the fanbase hates him. but in my opinion i say no. girard is a a relly good top 4 defenseman on the avs and breaking out the zone he does great at for the avs. but definitely is close trade!

I think that started with how he played in the playoffs plus Avs already have Toews and Makar who are great in that area, and better in almost every other area as well. I know Byram is having issues right now but he’s going to make Girard expendable in the offseason if he’s healthy. That’s why we’re already hearing him in rumours. With Kadri leaving I think Dvorak could be a useful player for you guys. He’s only ever played on bad teams so I can’t wait to see him on a good one with good players around him. I think Habs could also throw in Lehkonen and then Norlinder as well.

While yes it would be nice to see dvorak on a good team for once, I feel that could turn out to be just how boedker was where he was hyped to just need a good team around him but it never happened, also again byram is still a young prospect with a high ceiling for potential but we don't know how well he will be yet. So I think we will hold on to him for a little longer. Also yea the playoffs but he one bad playoffs and people forgot how clutch he was for us in the 2018 and 2019 playoffs

That’s kind of what I mean though. I feel like it’ll depend on how he does in the upcoming playoffs. As for Dvorak he’s a different kind of player. Even when he’s not producing offense he’s playing big minutes, playing in all situations and is good defensively as supposed to Kadri who isn’t. If Boedker wasn’t producing offensively he wasn’t doing much. And hw rarely even produced offensively.

I think the reason why there so much trade proposition about Girard or rumor is that he was pushing by the kid and all other defensemen to play as the 5 or 6 defensemen. There some person who say that because you have Makar as your primary Offensive Defense and Byram your secondary one, Avs need to move out Girard who fall out of the hierarchy. There currently 8 nhler defensemen with also Justin Barron waiting in AHL.

Also people made easy connection with MTL because Girard is an QC defensemen moving the puck who could help MTL rebuild more quicker.
