@Dutchies, I'm basing my self on the kind of trade you see in deadline for guy like Coleman etc. Tampa give 1 round pick (late) and prospect N.Foote to have Coleman for the rest of season and series. That exactly the same style trade here. 1 round pick (Late) and a prospect for a 3/4 liner who can give good minute. Lehkonen don't hurt a team not at all, he can be really good defensively and kill penalty. Don't have the best hand, but still could put the puck in net.

I've got no issue with Lehkonen. He'd be a good add to any playoff team. But that's the equivalent of 2 firsts. Lundkvist is a high end D prospect. Someone might pay this, but I don't think they get that much.

Yeah I choose a Prospect A because of the fact that the 1 round pick could be a late one with Ny Ranger going for a cup run. Also I would have pick Vitali Kravstov to go with the 1 round pick because there a lot of rumor that Habs are interested in him and he wanted to be trade from NY Ranger but lately I hear that he got promise to another team so don't know what to think about him.

1st the Rangers are NOT making a deep playoff run. 2nd if they decide Kravstov, it would be Lehkonen + coming back. Gorton already proved he likes to reach for Kravstov once and he will do it again. 3rd the Rangers are not going to go for your normal rental. They will have the conversation with the agent to make sure the guy is willing to sign and stay with the Rangers or already have term. 4th to ask for a 1st and Lundkvist who on his own my get a 1st plus back is an insult. Drury tells him, now I understand why Dolan fired you and hangs up

Rangers have enough 3rd line players Why would they do this?? They need a top six forward. This guy isn't it.
