Pretty sure you can get Braun without wasting Dermott who is much better to keep in the depth than trade him for an at best marginal improvement. Add a defenceman, keeping only 7 NHL is not wise. You absolutely don't want to ever see Biega or Dahlstrom in the lineup ever again.

I should say, I also am not a fan of Nyguist over Engvall. He's been a big part of our success in the bottom 6 and I love how defensively sound he is. He doesn't give up much on the ice and that outweighs his lack of offence or flash.

Take out Ritchie and the jackets consider otherwise you need to add

The leafs have the best PK and Gus would only add to that. He also leads the league in shorthanded goals and would provide more 5v5 offense the PE and not sacrifice the defense. Also has an other year left for cheaper then Kerfoot and I seen him as a replacement if Kerf gets traded
