This is contingent on 2 Hypotheticals:

1) A trade with VAN involving Zacha and Garland. It's been reported by Friedman that NJD has interest in Garland and VAN has interest in Zacha, so if there is a trade to be had, it wouldn't be unlikely to see something involving those two (NJD would likely have to add).

2) Jesper Boqvist maintaining his level of play for a longer period of time. He's shown flashes in the NHL but nothing consistent. But over the last 7-8 games, he's looked very solid, especially when playing as a center. Him maintaining that level of play and being a serviceable 3C would allow Mercer to play in the Top 6 as a wing, which would be a big boost for our winger depth (but I still won't be sold on this unless he plays this way for the rest of the season).

*Johnsson and Tatar are interchangeable in this scenario, but I don't see them both being in the lineup. I'm guessing the coaching staff wouldn't want to take out either Bastian or Wood (when healthy). It'd still be nice to have both in case of injury though.*
