No thanks. We need Kemp, and I like the way he plays. I personally wouldn’t move him at all.

Really? He seemed available last time I included him. Can send a different piece for him.

Interesting, was it a oilers fan that said he’s on the table? Just after Bouchard, our next best RHD prospect is Kemp, so we need him for the defence in the future. We don’t really have any other good ones, and if we keep our first round pick I would hope we would draft a RHD.

Husso signed for too much money, trade for Boeser, not garland, and/or sign Gaudreau

Its a 4 x $4.5 million contract for a back-up. If anything I am paying too long and too much here.

Would do Boeser if he is signing new contract or if his RFA rights come super cheaply. Its a lot of risk for developing team to trade for RFA rights. Gaudreau is returning to Calgary. If he returns home, it will be to Philly.

Yes. Devils get three types of trade offers from Oilers.

    1. Goalie cap dump (Oilers find a better goalie elsewhere, dump Koskinen or Smith on us)
    2. Barrie + stuff for Severson
    3. Barrie + stuff for Graves

Here is one of the good ones though: Gravy Train

Yah I’m not a fan, and I also see people dumping our bad contracts on the devils. I don’t see why oilers fans would trade Kemp right now, but who knows.. I don’t see how trading him in a package for a guy like Graves makes any sense for us long term, as our LHD prospect pool is good, but RHD prospect pool sucks! I could see a deal around Severson, but I think Toronto really wants him so we probably won’t get him.

I highly doubt Lambert is going to be NHL ready next season. I would’ve tried to sign a free agent winger instead.

I like the Garland trade, I’m not sure if Canuck fans will.

That Husso contract could look really bad real quick. Huge risk signing him to that.

I would like the way Boqvist has been playing and would rather keep him.

I don’t think Severson is really that available. There have been a bunch of Leaf reporters/bloggers/podcasters that keep saying Severson is the Leafs #1 target, so they send tons of offers, most are really bad. It’s been a thing since before they signed Brodie.

I am guessing Devils either sign Severson to extension in off-season or move him then if they cannot.

Agreed! He’s too good to move to a team especially if he wants to stay. Also, you guys look like you want to be a good team, so I don’t see him getting moved. I think he will resign again in New Jersey, and probably do well. I don’t understand most of the Toronto trade proposals too… most of them are very bad! I guess we will see what they do with him, but I absolutely agree with your guess.

Boqvist has looked great lately. I have always been a believer in him. Too much speed/skill not to produce more. But we only have 4 center spots.

Lambert probably will take a year or two. But wanted to see lineup altogether. Could have put Gritsyuk there too, but same thing (one more year in KHL).

The big brain move is to play Boqvist at 4C and either scratch McLeod or move him to 4LW.
Or play Boqvist on Hischier's wing.
    Or don't trade AJ.

Then again, it's probably better to move Boqvist for Kemp, if Holland would be up to it.

Galaxy brain: mix Boqvist and McLeod into one player, McLeod’s physicality, defense and face-offs, Boqvist offensive skills.

Oh dear. Think that'd make for the second coming of Peter Forsberg or something.

Yeah I’m a big Boqvist believer too. Would love to see it Mercer or Boqvist could stick at winger and use the other as 3C (preferably Mercer at wing).

I do really like Lambert would love if Devils got him and Gritsyuk has me super excited. The Devils prospect pool is seriously deep.
