I don't think the Hawks would do that trade; as all 3 pieces coming back are too big of gambles to turn into a impact NHL player

i feel like Ville Koivunen would be of more interest to the hawks maybe even gunler I but I feel like hawks would really want koivunen and a first in the package

Well I don't think Hagel is being shopped. All we know is the Hawks have received multiple offers and have declined a 1st and a prospect. Unless the Hawks are blown away, I don't think they have any intent on moving Hagel....the rest of what people are reading aren't facts, simply analyst opinions.

Stepan is better for us than Dzingel. That bridge is burned anyways

Substitute a more valued prospect than Mattheos in the Anaheim deal and we are basically set. Hagel would be icing on the cake but I don’t think we should make that leap.

I like your thoughts but there's a couple problems IMO:

If Anaheim decides to be sellers (which they might not given where they are in the standings), then I think Manson and Rakell could both end up getting a 1st so the fact you don't even have 1 first going isn't good enough. Bear is good, Mattheos looks like a bottom-6 energy forward and is a high-risk to be something better. Although as a Carolina fan I like it lol.

For Hagel, I'm comfortable keeping those pieces for that kind of package given the fact that we have Svech, KK (unless they keep him as a bottom-6 center this season) and Niederreiter on our LW. Not super interested in spending that much on that type of player at this point in time. Another team probably would.

Getting Dzingel back would be cool though.

Not so sure given Hagel is 23 years old and on a very attractive contract...generally those types are part of rebuilding so any offer would really need to blow the socks off thus the other team is taking it in the shorts
