Potential next year

Description
Panarin's bonuses basically guarantee Panik's departure.

The goalie market is rich and should be relatively easy to find an okay backup. Could possibly trade Darling's rights prior to July for a goalie.

Brian Campbell is back with a $1,000,000 salary which includes a $1,000,000 games played bonus of 20 games played. This is only $250,000 less than what he made this year. If someone has the maximum games played bonuses please provide them. I could not find them anywhere for players not on ELC.

Kruger is taken by Vegas with maybe an incentive added.

My hope is that Dylan Sikura signs after training camp/preseason. He was one of the best NCAA players last year and could possibly make the
roster which could convince him to sign.

We all hope Shalunov will sign with the Hawks this year but we will have to wait and see. I personally don't think he will be that great even if he does sign.

The Blackhawks will roll with a 23 man roster for most of the season as they did in 2015.

I realize the first line is a stretch because nobody truly knows how DeBrincat will translate to the NHL. I placed him will two large bodied battlers so he can find space without having to dig the pucks out of the corners.
If DeBrincat doesn't make the team then lines of
Schmaltz- Toews- Hayden
Panarin-Anisimov-Kane
Hartman-Kero-Hossa
Motte-Rasmussen-Jurco

If Sikura signs place him somewhere in top 9 and move Kero to 4C

Trade doesn't have to be with Dallas. I just sort of randomly selected them.

An insane statistic is that the Blackhawks will have $48,000,000 or 64% of the cap wrapped up
in a starting lineup.
Panarin-Toews-Kane
Keith-Seabrook
Crawford
That's right! One line eats up nearly 2/3rds of the entire cap ceiling for the 2017-18 season. This includes Panarin's bonus overages which count against the 2017-18 cap.

Could be possible if Miller is willing to sign for that cheap to be backup for an extremely strong contender. Not sure he would be interested in that.

Not bad. But I think the Hawks will keep Kempny and trade Pokka's rights. Also I don't think Hayden is a first line player, I think Hartman would fit better in that spot. My lines would be:
      DeBrincat-Toews-Hartman
      PAK
      Jurco-Schmaltz-Hossa
      Rasmussen-Kero-Hayden
Who knows how DeBrincat will do, and Jurco is a big question too, but with the cap you gotta hope some of these guys happen to work out. I love Schmaltz as third line center....lastly, I'd love to see the Hawks find a way to sign Sharp, which would help the left side so much, even if it's on the third line with Hossa.

Quality Assessment. I agree with the Kempny Panik trade and for whatever reason Dallas seems to be their favorite trading partner lately...and they ironically fit for this trade too. I could also see CAR because both players are still under RFA.
