Zadorov isn't playing in the NHL next season and Nyquist isn't the kind of player I'd want
Actually, Zadorov might depending on what the Avs offer to him and he does
want to stay.

He's still not impressive, in 78 games with the Avalanche he hasn't scored a goal

Hence the rest of the deal
I could add a 2019 6th and a prospect if that would help

This is my formal offer:
Casey Mittelstadt (I'm sure you know about him since you inquired to me for him) + Oliver Kylington (rated 96th best prospect league wide in THN's Future Watch magazine) for Rasmus Ristolainen.

Ristolainen is basically untouchable
He's been a 40+ point defenseman on a really bad team, I can see him being the 60+ point guy when the Sabres get really good

He's been a 40+ point defenseman on a really bad team, I can see him being the 60+ point guy when the Sabres get really good
The only other way I could see a deal working would be Mittelstadt for both Steel and Gauthier. I see Gauthier as being the same amount of value as where he was drafted. Around pick 20. Steel has increased his value by half a round IMO due to his great play in the CHL. That'd make him around 15. To me Pick 15 + pick 20 = Pick 8. You might be overpaying slightly based on how good Steel is in your opinion, but I don't Steel as highly as I value Mittelstadt, so I'd need something else coming my way to be comfortable with a deal.

I wouldn't want to give up Steel and Gauthier, could use Steel as the big piece, but it would have to be a smaller name prospect added as Steel has been a monster in junior

But Ristolainen is a real drag on the other defencemen he's paired with

I know, but he'll get much better on that part
