Trade Namestnikov to a team who'll want him. Rangers don't. It's like Red Wings fans with Tatar.

Value with Namestnikov is he can play any forward position on any line. He's been much better for Detroit this season than last. I'd take a 3rd for him. 2nd with retention. Rangers fans I know don't want him.

Not getting Jones. That much I know is ridiculous.

The way I looked at the trade was.
Leddy with retention of 2,750,000. for Jones. Rangers have a glut of defense prospects and someone has to go. Nobody seems to want to trade miller and he would cost more than Leddy anyway.
Kravtsov for Namestnikov which I think is very reasonable considering the situation and the season Namestnikov is having. With an extra 4th to seal the deal because your dealing with Yzerman at the deadline. Anyway the 4th is not important, I just threw that in. It could have as easily gone to the rangers.

If tartar was younger, playing better now than he ever played for the wings and we were playoff contenders fully out of the rebuild mode. Hell ya I'd trade a prospect currently not in this country who has demanded a trade and will not play for my team and has yet to be traded.
