Aight Hear me out Severson is way better than graves defensively. Muzzins shortcomings are his puck-moving & skating Severson would be great in that role imo over graves

Fair deal for Graves, and while the GM's come out and said he's not looking to move roster players for picks I think Fitz would have to consider that trade.

100% agree with Paulie here. Would also add that Siegenthaler's emergence would be a big factor here too. We did not expect what we are getting, so many of us that said NJD wouldn't trade Graves within a year of acquiring now say its possible.

After next season, four of our top-6 will be due new contracts: Severson, Graves, Siegenthaler, Smith.

My guess is Severson and Siegenthaler get extensions early (this summer), Graves enters next season as pending UFA, Smith re-signs for his bridge deal after 2022-23.

So in the order of likelihood in being traded: (1) Graves, (2) Smith, (3) Severson, (4) Siegenthaler

Any chance Liljegren would be in deal? (with lesser pick and without Dermott)

Severson isn't better than Graves defensively...
Severson is better offensively and is overall a better two way defensemen

As a Blackhawk fan, I'm okay with your proposal. I might look to swap that 3rd in 23 for another prospect, but over all it's not bad. I do fid it funny how you just trade pretty much every Leafs draft choice over the next two years, but I get it, you need to go for it now.

Wrote that at 4 AM my bad what I meant to say is Graves is better defensively but Severson is better offensively & with Muzzin’s shortcoming being more offensive than defensive I think Severson is comparable enough that I would prefer him next time muzzin & someone like Graves next to Sandin for ex.
