This could maybe work, but I’d rather Dube at 4C and Lewis over Richardson. I don’t think that splitting up the top line is a very good idea though, especially just to try and get our now-3C going. The only way I’d consider this is if one of Lindholm or Tkachuk got injured, which hopefully doesn’t happen. At this point I think the only lineup tweaks up front will be maybe bringing in a depth forward so that Richardson/Ritchie aren’t our first options.

So here's the thing. Tkachuk is just better Monahan. Simple as that. So Gaudreau has basically upgraded to Tkachuk and got a 2-way goal scoring center to anchor the line. If we really want to get Monahan going again the answer is probably in Toffoli and Mangiapane
