Change Pettersson and Poulin to Pittsburgh's first and drop the 5th and 6th round picks and Winnipeg does it. Neither Pettersson or Poulin are needed or do anything for the Jets, so the current deal doesn't work.

MAF deal value looks reasonable tbf and I think even the Copp deal is. Just not sure Jets would be prepared to let take back Petterssen in the process.

MAF will cost a bit to retain some salary + I see it as a Kapenan cap dump. I just don't know with Copp, I wouldn't give a first (maybe a 2nd and a late pick + a prospect?)

I think value is there for MAF and its a home he likes and he can compete and sign a team friendly deal for next year.

I like your thinking on Copp for a 2nd and late pick + prospect. I think they would consider that.

PIT isn't paying that for a backup goalie, no matter how many CHI fans want it.

PIT also isn't doing the WPG trade. Copp isn't worth that.

It's paying for the Blackhawks to take on Kapanens contract for the remainder of the season and to retain 50% of Fleurys contract. If the Pens want to sign a forward for the playoffs they need to unload some cap.

when you think the Pens have to PAY for someone to take on Kaps contract.
