Description

Sakic has...$20M...ish...to play with next year? Take on a few SHORT term bad contracts. Neither player is actually bad at all, they're just not worth their contract AND they play for teams that are much closer to the cap ceiling. MIN wants to resign Granlund and Nino. MTL has some people coming due, but also has a lot of picks to work with and the 1st will be in the 2nd half of the round.

Joe says...for the right price, SURE bring them on over.

The D still needs work, but next year $10M will disappear and the $5M...$5M...just in time for a few of these players to get a little more money if the deserve a raise.

Since when does Scandella have insanely negative trade value.

Leafs trade a 2nd for Scandella, there Minny takes that instead.

Yeah that Minnesota trade is laughably awful. Not sure the wild will move scandella, but if they do he's going to get at around a second, maybe a sweetener as well.
But most likely he's going to be part of a package going to vegas so they don't take brodin or dumba.
