If Nils is the piece going for Brown, Id rather use it to get Andrew Copp.

guess it just depends if you want right wing or left, pretty similar players

brown does have an extra year under contract though so i guess depends how much you value that aswell

It is a perk to have the extra year, however Copp is one of the best 3rd line centers in the league. Center is such a problem for us I feel like its far more critical in terms of icing 4 solid lines.

Kravtsov and Lundqvist don't do it for Brown imo.

Theyre both centers. Scheifele, PLD, Copp, Lowry is their lineup. Plus they have Stastny and Perfetti. Theyre insanely deep down the middle.

I would do that Brown trade every day.

what if i threw in someone like nick paul too? cheap, bigger physical guy but a good skater, good on pk, and can be an really effective bottom 6 centre as a whole. I would think the rags would need to add as hes got a pretty big market and trade interest but if there was like a brown+paul for lundkvist and kravtsov would there be any interest?

It would be very very intriguing. I wouldnt be mad if the Rangers made a trade like that.

I cant imagine Nick Paul getting a huge pay raise in his extension however with how cap strapped the Rangers are they would likely need some retention on Brown.

In theory though, a line of Chytil-Paul-Brown could be a very nice 3rd line.

yeah would be brown 50% retained in theory, paul and brown have great chemistry aswell if you wanted them on the third line
