Future flyers

Description
If the flyers don't win the draft lottery they need a second line center, Hayes is not it. Flyers will probably draft 4-8 they should do everything to get that big goalscoring winger, who could make the team outta camp.
Claude Giroux is the standout Rental this season and it will be a biding war and I see Colorado having to give up Helleson, Olausson or Barron plus a first and like a 3rd or the Giroux sweepstakes will go somewhere else and I don't know if Sakic will do that.

Brink is the leading scorer in The NCAA, and flyers need points so he should get the opputunity to start the season.
Attard is first in the NCAA in points by defencemen and great player, a great pro and is a leader so he should start the season as well with the big boys and I think he will stay up.
Fedotov is a great big goalie and was a big reason that reason that Russia made to the Olympic final. And having him backup Hart will make the goaltending solid for the first time since Hextalls days. (In net, not in the office)

I think the Burns/Hayes swap is an interesting idea, Burns is much older and has a slightly higher cap hit, but Hayes has that extra year. Sharks probably would need to add a pick considering Burns will be 37 in 2 weeks, but I think both players would nix a the deal with their NTC/NMC.

I don't know if you get a 3rd for JVR with a year left and half retained without adding picks. Reportedly teams are not even biting at Kessel as a rental half retained for a 3rd is the asking price from Arizona. Kessel is putting up better numbers and less risk as he can just walk in FA. I think realistically fletcher will try and trade his full contract to Arizona, Buffalo or Montreal and unfortunately have to pay a 2nd, and 3rd or later round pick.

Sharks wouldn’t add anything in that trade, I don’t think they would do that at all. They get the worse player with an extra year

I wouldn't say Hayes is necessarily a worse player. He's struggled but he could be a solid center and is much younger

Burns plays like 25 minutes a night and with 31 points in 49 games. He’s by no way a Norris winning defenseman anymore but he chews minutes, never misses time and still puts up points. I’d rather have him without the extra year even at his age. He’s probably the most fit 36 year old around. Plus not having that extra year at such a high cap hit is better.
