Not sure the sharks do that with a pick in 3 years and a 4th liner while also giving up a pick in the deal.

Is mayfield really that good? That’s a very solid return for a guy Tampa would have on the 3rd pair.

Yeah, it's an overpay but if Tampa was really interested then I could see it. Very doubtful the NYI will get much better of an offer, and if they hold onto him and don't re-sign him, his value diminishes further by next season.

Fair enough, I made Barabanov the F target in this agm based on our discussion. What's your counter for him?

I’d imagine if they want to move the 24 2nd rounder the sharks are going to want a much better player coming back. Not sure who honestly, or just one of the earlier 1sts

Yeah, can't see Tampa moving a 1st for him, as he's not worth that at this point. If Tampa is going to move 1sts for a F, it'll be someone like McCann(if available), Hagel, possibly Crouse or a ufa like Copp maybe. I could see Tampa dropping the pick coming back and doing a '23 3rd or '24 2nd plus a young roster player or prospect, but not a 1st.
