Holl was a healthy scratch, and more of a cap dump than actually worth anything.

He's playing second pairing minutes and is only paid 2M for the next 2 years. If the Habs want a 1st and 3rd for Chiarot than Holl is definitely worth at least a 2nd.

Chiarot would be a 3rd pairing D on the Leafs and the ask is a 1st and a 3rd... His plus/minus is -24.

Justin Holl is +10 and playing in unsheltered minutes and on the penalty kill.

Chiarot would be 2LD on the Leafs right now. He would be 2RD if Muzzin is able to return. Chiarot is -24 on a team thats -80 overall, playing 23+ minutes a night as their 1LD. Holl is +10 on a team that is +38 overall, playing 20 minutes a night in sheltered minutes. Its almost like Plus/Minus doesn't paint the whole picture. Aside from all that, Chiarot, like Muzzin, is exactly what Toronto needs in the playoffs, minus the annual 1st round injuries.

Whoever gives a 1st for Chiarot doesn't deserve to be a GM. His true value is like a 3rd round pick.

If he's worth a first he should be a 6M AAV player next season but I'm not sure he'll even make what he is right now.

That's ridiculous. Part of his value is the low cap hit he holds. I don't think and Toronto Maple Leafs fan is allowed to be high and mighty when arguing defencemen. Your 2nd pairing and 3rd pairing are in utter chaos right now, and your top pairing are extremely weak on the puck. But good luck in the playoffs when all anyone sees is TJ Miller rumours, how good is he at 2RD? Lol
