I'd honestly rather have Johnsson instead of Tatar

Its a toss up for me. Tatar is solid two way and I feel he can mesh well with Malkin

Tatar is the better player all around, no doubt. But can be selfish player at times.

Johnsson will run through a wall for his team. And plays with a passion he didn’t have last year.

If I am headed to playoffs, I probably take Johnsson 90% of the time.

Honestly, a good two way selfish player is exactly what I would put on Malkin's wing.
He needs someone willing to just riffle the puck.
The problem people have playing with him is they start playing catch with him. Pens fans screaming...shoot the puck.
That's why Kessel worked so well for 2 years. Kessel was like F it, I'll shoot the puck.
Malkin knows he has to be more selfish but he's always looking for people who can help when teams clamp down on him.
