I don't think Montreal do this trade only because of the salary retain. Both would probably try to figure out a way to make this trade without Montreal having to lose one of the 3 possible spot to retain salary for 3 years. In term of value I like it for Montreal, but for Calgary I dont like it. I feel like its a huge overpay.

Habs accept if you drop the salary retained. We can even toss in a C prospect like Jacob Olofsson or jack Gorniak too
