Im surprised it took this long after the Caps game for someone to throw Strome under the bus.

Not close for Scheifele. A rental has no part in a deal for Scheifele.

If it required more picks or another prospect fine. I just don’t see Rangers moving Schneider nor do I want to. I don’t think that’s an insignificant haul for Scheifele imo.

Deal could be predicated based on an extension worked out. If not move Chytil into the deal and put Strome in the Kraken deal.

He’s showing his warts in the tight checking “playoff” like games. All I can say is Rangers traded Callahan for St. Louis and it paid off. I think upgrading is necessary and doable.

I see why NYR wouldn't want to include Schneider, honestly. But a deal for Scheifele would have to be quality over quantity so just putting more picks/prospects in a deal probably wouldn't cut it. I just can't see the Jets pulling the trigger on a Scheifele deal without it including Schneider.
If he is indeed untouchable for the Rangers, then I don't think a Scheifele deal happens.

Nope, that's not any better. Move Strome out and replace him with Schneider.

I am still a fan of Strome, he choked on that SO attempt and has not looked good since the AllStar break, but it is a question of conditioning and getting Kaapo back onto his RW.
