Turcotte Vilardi Kupari

Created by: Wingsfan09
Team: 2021-22 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 27, 2022
Published: Feb. 27, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
We need a no. 2 center. The Kings are rich in center depth and prospects. I don't know if Vilardi or Kupari really grade out to project as number 2 guys, or Turcotte for that matter but I feel he has the highest upside. What would a deal look like to get Turcotte, or either of the other 2, if any?

My untouchables are Larkin, Raymond, Seider, Bertuzzi

The Kings need a young scoring LD or a top-6 player who can bolster scoring.

If the kings can’t find that, there is no reason to trade any of those players because they are also being played at wing.

Hronek sort of fits that bill, except he plays the right instead of the left.

Unlike a lot of fans, I'm willing to shop Hronek if the right fit is there for a potential 2C. Do you see any potential here at all in that regard? Where does Turcotte project in your mind?

I'd say Edvinsson for Turcotte, but Wings also need LD so maybe it's not a fit?

If Kings would agree to a Turcotte-Bertuzzi swap, I'd do that if I were Yzerman.

Turcotte will be somewhere in the middle-6, he’s got a great tool kit so he’ll be fine playing big minutes if they can get his injuries under control.

As long as the Kings are still in on Chychrun as one of the front runners, I don’t see any of those players being moved.

Kings right side: Doughty, Roy, Durzi, Walker, Clarke, Faber Spence, Grans. Kings need help on the left not the right. Hronek isn’t the answer.

Kings would not, lots of excellent top-6 free agents coming this year. I think they either want to swing for the fences and get someone like Forsberg or trade the assets needed for Chychrun.

Yea I forgot to include Edvinsson on my no trade list, I don't consider him an option right now.

I consider Bertuzzi apart of our core, and would not trade him for any of those prospects, which is why I included him on the no-trade list. I would only be willing to move him for a more guaranteed 2C, as trading for any of these 3 guys comes with a lot of risk. If Bertuzzi is what it takes to get a Turcotte deal done, then there is no deal here to be had. I like Turcotte's upside, I'm just worried he could turn out to be a wing at the NHL level, which we don't really need.

I don't think the Wings would do Turcotte for Edvinsson 1 for 1, but he's an interesting target. Michigan kid too isn't he? Kings need LD and the Wings have a few in the pipeline. Maybe Zadina 1 for 1, or Wallinder, McIsaac and a pick together might get the conversation going.
