After watching Georgiev vs. Van would rather keep our second.

That trade gets you Hertl, that’s it. Not a top six winger and a 3rd. Barabanov is worth a 2nd easily.

Georgiev just needs to play consistently. I mean in terms of deployment that is.

I disagree. Barabanov is a nice piece but this a lot to give up. It's a fair deal. I'd do Lundkvist + 2nd for Hertl alone.

Lol that’s a fat underpay. Late 2nd and a 3rd paid D for Hertl is disrespectful. And Barabanov is on a 50 point pace at $1 mil and you think he isn’t worth a 2nd? Think of all the other rentals costa being thrown out. Lehkonen is all over the board and Barabanov scores better and is cheaper. The trade as it stands is a 1C level player, a $1 mil top 6 forward and a 3rd for a 1st, a 3rd pair D, a third line winger and a 4th line winger. That’s a steal.

Lol talk about not knowing what you are talking about. That “third pairing d” is one of the better blue chip defensive prospects. Hertl is a rental, think mark stone trade AT BEST and that included an extension.

I agree Nils is at best one of the Rangers top prospects if not the best defenceman he isn't a 3rd pair d he has Fox and Trouba ahead of him. ALso all of these trades are fair.

No, the trade did not include an extension. And stone was traded for a top 25 prospect in the league at the time. None of these guys are close to that and they are throwing in a bargain top 6 winger and a pick

The only reason vgk traded branstrom was because they knew they could resign him. He was resigned within the week. Rangers don’t have the cap to resign hertl to that type of deal.

Also, see number 10 here:

That’s the only list I’ve seen that has him in the top 100 and that list is whack. Him in front of Byfield, Askarov, Krebs, Jarvis, Holtz, Perfetti and Rossi just in the next 20 players? Yikes. It’s also from April of last year so yeah things have changed quite a bit since then.

Miller and Schneider and maybe even Jones are better than him he isn’t the best rangers D prospect. Y’all are crazy off on your own players even

It’s less than a year old from TSN and if they are so “whack” (not like those players have lit it up) and “Lundkvist is so bad” why are you looking to get him? “Yikes”

Regardless, find any list where branstrom was that high at any time. Again, why you think Hertl will get more than Mark Stone is just laughable. This is almost on par with the eichel return.

You have to be on some crazy crack if you think that is the Eichel return. And yes that list is horrible for the reasons I mentioned and it being a year old. It’s March tomorrow it’s 11 months old. Gauthier is almost 25 and hasn’t scored more than 10 points in an nhl season, kravstov couldn’t make your lineup this year and Dobber Prospects has a projection model that has Lundqvist well below 2nd pairing.

Chris Peters in September 2019 ranked the top 100 prospects in the nhl at the time and Brannstrom was ranked 19.

http://insider.espn.com/nhl/insider/story/_/id/27632023/ranking-top-100-nhl-prospects-2019-20

NBC Sharks had a media member talk to others in the league about Hertl here:

https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/sharks/nhl-trade-deadline-evaluating-what-sharks-players-might-bring-back-trade

They mention Hertl can bring in up to two premium assets because he is seen as a 1C in the league. Stone is a winger, centers are always more valuable. The cost for Hertl could be up to 2 premium assets being a 1st and a top prospect.

Also, the cold stove pod from NHL Rumors Daily mentions that he is possibly even a top 20 enter in the league and he should bring back multiple top assets.

You are so biased it’s not even worth the conversation. He’s not gonna get the package listed hands down. If you think drury would do that you are on crack.

And you aren’t worth the effort since you are going to stick with your (wrong) opinion.
