    **Conditional Draft Selection

Moving Eberle simply because you can never have enough depth down the middle. Draisaitl can has demonstarted he can play on the wing, (albeit great down the middle), so choosing to leave Nugent-Hopkins on the roster. Couple that with Puljujarvi coming, just don't see room for Eberle. At 24, Eberle fits the Ducks need to add talented top 6 forwards to the equation.

Ducks have the defensive depth to move clearly, and Vatanen puts together what could be one of the best top 4's in the league.

Conditional draft pick based on Eberle's performance. Would go as high as a 2nd, working my way down based on offensive production in Anaheim. 3rd is really what I see happening.

    COL
RFA rights to Iiro Pakarinen & future considerations

Oilers have a lot in the system that fit the mold of Pakarinen in my opinion. Colborne, as player who I still maintain was never a great fit in Colorado, provides addtional depth down the middle if need be, but will be a solid 3rd line contributer. 15 goals here is not beyond the realm of possibility. The Avs fell apart. Not holding that against Colborne.

Avs do this to clear more cap room, but they also receive a player that is under contractual control that fits a re-tool/re-build in Colorado.

Future consideration based on Pakarinen's performance.

In my opinion they should re-sign Russell and not do the Vatanen trade.

Some of your RFA signing, surprise me. Rumour has it Lander is going to the KHL. Musil is on loan to Arizona and isn't in the Oilers plans, since they have several defensive prospects coming from junior to the AHL.
Also it was reported on Oilers fan web sites that Pochiro was only included in the Yakupov because ST. Louis needed to keep their number of contracts below 50 and the Oilers will not be resigning him.

As an Oilers fan i would like to see Pouliot taken by Vegas, but I doubt they will.

While I agree with the comment above that the RFA signings show that you don't follow the Condors, you can be forgiven for that.

I like the rationale behind your moves. RNH, popular trade bait here on CapFriendly, plays a very important role on this Oilers squad, soaking up a lot of tough minutes against opponents top line every night. At this point Draisaitl isn't ready to take on that role, and McDavid should be kept out of those match-ups as much as possible.

Vatanen would round out this defence corp nicely, very good pickup there.

IMO, you should skip all three UFAs; promote Ellis for backup and re-sign RFA Khaira instead.

Colborne is an interesting option for 3C - if Pakarinen is the cost I would be happy to give him a 1-year trial.

That's because you aren't an Oilers fan.

Ducks could use more lefties in their top 6, not sure they go for the Eberle deal.
