Braun to Seattle trade is bad. Flyers are pushing for a 2nd round pick for Braun. And Seattle would she no reason to pick up Braun. Braun would go to a contender

Edmonton declines. JVR is having a terrible season and hasn't scored 30 goals in 5 years now, he's not returning an A prospect and a high pick even with retention. LW is the last place they need to add, they went out and got Hyman, Kane and Foegele in the past 9 months.

Edmonton can't afford the cap hit anyhow.
