Description

Minor Improvements to this team. I believe that the winger situation can be solved internally and that a player like Kaut or Bowers could come up and play in that middle six role that they've been lacking. Goaltending would be about adding depth

Anton Forsberg this season has been one of the best goalies in the NHL as he is posting a 917% on an Ottawa team that is young and inexperienced he has also been very good and consistent and the Senators have expressed a willingness not to trade him to have consistent goaltending and have a big boost at the end of next season to build onto the 2022-23 season. Kaut is a player that fits Ottawa system, is NHL ready but cannot break through onto the team as it is a top contender. Please let me know if there is another prospect like Sampo Ranta that you would use over Kaut. Or another prospect all together. Forsberg impact on Colorado would be profound as he is very good for a low cap hit and gives you three capable goalies to play in the playoffs. The only reason the price is this high is because other teams will want Forsberg so the price will go to the highest bidder.

How has kaut played, I haven’t played to much attention to him. Ottawa has a lot of younglings they believe in

I don't know, that's why I would like the feedback, he has played six games in the NHL however.

kaut hasn't been that impressive but goalies just done have much value.

First that’s a hard no from COL. Kaut is NHL ready, him playing in the AHL is now bordering on wasteful. The Eagles don’t have much center talent and they have had a bunch of injuries so Kauts point totals don’t jump out. Imo one of his strengths and oddly one of his weaknesses is he plays to linemates talents. Play him with guys that want to go and play up and down he does that. Stick him with Grinders he is a grinder. 2 years ago he had locked in a spot late season with the Avs, but because of his contract the Avs sent him back down to slide his contract (he’s a true 5 yr elc guy) and then he got hurt last year. I’d really like the Avs to give him a shot but don’t see it happening in COL.

Ah, yes, third string goalie that has a winning record on a lossing team, 917 safe percentage, and a 2.79 goals against average. Thanks for the feedback on Kaut though, what prospect would you replace him with?

Easy pass for the Avs. 3rd choice pending UFA behind Darcy and Frankie isn't worth Kaut.

Avs can find a dependable backup G in free agency without giving up the prospect
