Krakowitz, if I sweetened our original deal a bit would that make it easier for you to find a replacement using the extra pieces I'll offer you?

What would the extra pieces be? I'd then like to have something in place for me to get another defenseman before I assume that I can get one. You never know with some people, they treat a second pairing defenseman like he has the value of Auston Matthews

Oh, I know. What if I gave you Poturalski and Mcginn and you tried to package Bailey, Mcginn, Poturalski, and a 1st or 2 for a great replacement?

Krak you haven't answered me.

What did you offer me? Sorry I was gone for a while, I haven't had time to look here for most of the weekend

I asked you like half an hour ago.

Price on Carlson?

Let me ask around to see if that could get me something first. I am still getting Dvorak though, right? Just to make sure I have this deal in order before negotiating. But if I find something that I like, I'll let you know.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to our earlier Chychrun discussions. That comment got lost with the other negotiations.

Right now, I'd need a suitable replacement for Carlson and more. Since it seems you're offering Murphy a lot, it would take him, a young forward in the NHL right now, and a little more

It's gotta be higher. 2017 isn't a great draft, so it's basically the equivalent of a 4th round pick in the last two years

I just said that the pick would have to be higher. Murphy to Carlson is a big downgrade -- please don't try and tell me that it isn't because I see the Coyotes all the time. Quine is okay, so a third round pick has got to be higher. I would need a first

No, I completely agree. I just didn't know where you stand with both. Would a 1st in 2019 work? I can offer a 4th in 2017 as well.

If people were willing to trade me something good in exchange for a 2019 pick, I'd say yes. But nobody wants picks unless they're in 2017, so no.

Do you not have your 2017 1st? That's what it would take, or I'd need a better young forward

I have decided to pull out on our offer, I think it would probably be easier for both of us, I just don't think that we're good trade partners as of now.

I know you don't want to spend all the time it would take to get another solid replacement for Carlson and really don't want to wait as long as it will probably take.

Thanks for negotiating with me, and I hope we can deal in the future.

No not anymore. I watch Carlson a lot, and tbh he's not as good as everyone makes him out to be. Don't get me wrong he's a top-2, but at that. He's a better version of Faulk. Not that far off from Murphy, though yes better than him.

So realistically,

Murphy, a good young player in Quine, and a current 2nd should be enough. I could add in Sissons and maybe another decent prospect but it should not cost that much.

I'm not sure you realize how good Carlson is. An okay player and a second round pick isn't enough to upgrade a top 4 to a top pairing defenseman. Given what I could get for Carlson, you need to offer up a lot more. I could be demanding Ehlers for him, especially given how high the market for defensemen is nowadays

Lol I watch him on a regular basis. I know how good he is. You are overvauling him. What else would you want including Murphy?

I need either Domi or Ehlers, unless you're going to find a way to get me a high first round pick. This is an elite NHL defenseman, and you think you can get him for a top 4 dman, okay youngster, and a second round pick in a weak draft? Hell nah

Are you really closing this? I think I have something brewing where I can get another defenseman. Give me until noon tomorrow
