Pens need a back-up upgrade, that's really it, but if they could get an upgrade from Kapanen? Yes, that would be a boost. That would be the MOST they need.

Yeah I'd probably give up Kapanen for Copp but I would give a lower draft pick

So your idea of a retool for the playoffs is to downgrade from MP to Staal and downgrade from Friedman to Schenn?

I mean a Kap and Legare for Copp trade would be the only thing that makes sense. Cause Anaheim declines that offer.

They are the 4th team in the league. Obviously they stink and need to retool. Dump Pettersson for nearly zero return, bring in one of the most over-rated players in the league in Rakell... Obvious moves to help this slug of a team. 5th place... have some pride Penguins!
