There's a few nuggets in there, but that's not going to get it done.

IF they're not sending high picks, DET is going to have to give up some real top end prospects. Veleno's stock has dropped big time.

I love this for the wings and if I love it for the wings then that means it’s a fleece.

Nobody is getting Chychrun without a 1st round pick involved. Berggren is the key piece in the deal going to Phoenix. Veleno still has good value but aside from those two, there isn’t much that jumps off the page quite like Chychrun does.

Would Stevie give up his #1 in 2022 or 2023 to make this deal?

Right now Travis Boyd is the Coyotes #1 center. Veleno would be a giant upgrade.

If Stevie would add Veleno to that package AZ might bite.

He would be an upgrade..........I wouldn't quite say a giant one though. The problem is, the Coyotes are a bunch of plugs right now, with exception of a few players. When management looks to move those players, they need better than an upgrade at a position. They are looking for a couple pieces of top end talent that might be a year or two away. Veleno has gone from that possibility to a 3rd or 4th liner on a very good team. And I'm hoping at some point ARI is planning on being a very good team, but the way they've run things the past 10 years I'm not so sure.

I've seen a lot of trade on here that use the "it's an upgrade" phrase. But if ARI keeps trading their best players for small upgrades, they aren't getting better for the next 10 years.
