I know many moving pieces and likely way too much for a Trade deadline trade. We have seen big trades like this before. After hearing the Blackhawks have announced they are entering a rebuild, I feel this proposal helps them since Jones won't survive the rebuild to get another chance to win in his career window in Chicago.

Chicago receives a handful of quality young players, prospects, and a 1st round pick to start their rebuild.

Vancouver gets a #1 center with a contract that improves each year it passes and a quality young winger (Roberston) in the same age group as Pettersson and Hughes.

The Leafs are swinging for the fences, and this is a big shake-up.

Either way its just a bit of fun!

so we trade Horvat and Boeser and a third . we get 31 yr old with 4 years @11 million and an unproven rookie in a position we do not need. Canucks decline. come on are you serious here.

I am not trying to argue with you but I respectfully disagree.

It's hard to believe anyone thinks so poorly of Tavares. He will finish his NHL career (6 years from now) as a point-a-game player. How can anyone overlook that? The problem isn't his contract because all teams can have 1 maybe 2 10+ million contracts but three is too much.

Next, didn't, Roberston just snipe top shelf on Demko, and you call that unproven. Last I checked Demko is a great goalie.

We need stud RD to play with Hughes. This trade does nothing for us sorry no fit here.

Ok, I trust your assessment as a fan who watches. Having spent a decade on Vancouver Island I assure you I'm not trying to fleece the Canucks. I don't get to watch them much due to the time difference but what is going on with Myers then.

We have Schenn playing with Hughes. While is doing a great job hes not a long term solution.Hence our need for the stud RD. Myers is also having a career year playing with OEL.But again both are not long term solutions.

It was part of the trade. He immediately signed a 9.5x8 extension

I made a account to tell you how bad of a deal this is for Toronto you got to be out of your mind do better I would be embarrassed if I ever thought of a trade this bad

However, you provided no evidence to support your claim. Why is it so bad? The point is to engage in discussion. But I guess whoever you are we should bow down to your superiority because you think you know best. Yet you have given nothing to the discussion.
