Canucks decline the Pittsburgh trade. Can also get more for Hamonic at 50% retained

Ya fair enough. I guess it depends what they can fetch for Garland. I think it would be smart in the sense that we would be shifting money out of the overpriced D core while not dropping too much in talent between Garland - Kap while also adding a young player in Joseph. What do you think needs to be added?

Maybe needs to be done in the off-season then, or Pens need to add another roster player with limited term for cap implications

Don’t really think Joseph is a fit for the Canucks as we don’t need another LHD. Would also currently rather have Myers over Zucker (unless we add a quality RD)

The obvious fit from Pittsburgh is Marino, which doesn’t make sense for the Pens to move at this time. Don’t know if there’s another deal that makes sense for both teams there though

TB has ZERO cap space so they'd either have to add a Katchouk or Raddysh, which I really don't see Motte as an upgrade worth it. So either you remove Motte and add a 3 or 4, or scrap the deal entirely which is favor

Why would the Canucks take on Dadanov's contract for nothing, especially knowing how much that would help Vegas. Add a first round pick to that contract and maybe.

Would love to get Cal Foote for that. No idea how he regarded in Tbay though.

Los Angeles has no need or desire to get Tanner Pearson back. We have Kempe, Iafallo, Moore in our top 6, plus Grundstrom, Athanasiou and Lemieux behind them, and we're trying to find playing time for Anderson-Dolan and Turcotte.
