    If the Islanders are forced to trade Tavares that might be one of the better returns

    Not a Jackets or Isles fan per say, but I know the players/teams involved well and have to think this deal only benefits NYI. Of course this is unless Tavares either comes with a long term contract or signs one but if he doesn't come with it, you risk losing him after a year. Is one year of Tavares worth all that? On top of that, he's going to get a significant raise to say 9M per, that would really hinder CBJ cap wise in resigning their younger stars in the coming years.

    Decent return for Tavares, but I don't think they'd be interested in absorbing Hartnell's contract. Maybe Gabriel Carlsson or Boone Jenner?

    I like the trade from the Jets perspective. Allows Roslovic to play for his home team. Trouba-Morrissey, Buff-Murray and Myers-Enstrom would be a solid top 6.

    "And Jackets need a real leader". Where do you come up with this? Making stuff up. And is Tavares a great leader? I don't know. Has he led the Isles to Cup, Final, Conference Final? Unless you're in the dressing room you have no clue what "leadership" is.
